Why Did I Get Charged by ParkWhiz?

Modified on Wed, 11 Jun at 12:40 PM

BestParking serves as a listing service for locations that offer parking. Additionally, we act as a payment facilitator between users purchasing parking, and the operators managing each location.

Here is a breakdown of why you might see a charge from us:

  1. Reservation or Book-Ahead:

    1. When you book parking through our platform in advance, we collect payment on behalf of the parking operator. The charge you see is for the space you have reserved. BestParking processes the payment and transfers it to the parking location.

  2. Event or Venue-Specific Parking:

    1. If you added event parking or followed a link from certain Venues, the link may have re-directed you to BestParking for your purchase. As such, the transaction would show BestParking.

  3. Convenience Features:

    1. Some locations offer convenience features such as Scan To Pay. If you paid using one of these features, the transaction may show BestParking, rather than the location or operator. Again, we facilitate the payment between the two.

Why Does BestParking Charge Me Instead of the Parking Location?

As a payment facilitator, BestParking processes the payments. We then transfer the funds to the operator.

Why Does My Transaction Show as “Chicago, IL” on My Statement?

Even though your transaction may show “BestParking Chicago, IL,” this does not necessarily mean that the parking location was in Chicago. Chicago is just where BestParking is based.
