The short answer is no. If you find yourself needing to extend your time...
- Check your pass in the app to see if your reserved location offers the ability to "Extend" a pass. This should be fairly evident when viewing an active pass (look for an "Extend" button or the phrase "Offers Time Extension" pre-purchase)
Whether your pass can or can not be "extended in-app", it is generally not recommended to stay parked outside the timeframe listed on your pass. If in doubt, go ahead and move your car to find alternate parking (or book a new pass at a different nearby facility!)
In unavoidable circumstances, should you need to stay parked longer, there is a risk that you could...
- Have to pay on-site for that additional time - either through the payment machine on-site or an attendant on-site.
- Have to pay on-site for your entire parking period - in these cases staying past the end time on your ParkWhiz pass essentially makes the pass "unrecognizable" for the digital systems that validate your parking, therefore you'll be charged twice for your parking
- Be issued a citation - either a ticket or a boot
- Be towed
If you're parked in an unattended lot that uses vehicle license plate validation, and you over-stay your reservation, you are at risk of being towed. You could also be ticketed or booted, so you really must visit the lot as soon as possible and purchase more time on-site, or simply park somewhere else.
Booking back-to-back passes is NOT recommended as it would require you to physically visit the lot to validate each individual pass before it expires. Due to third-party revenue control systems that are in place to prevent attendant theft, any pass that began on a day that has already elapsed can not be altered or modified in any way.
